Goldenrod Crab Spider (Misumena vatia)

Crab spiders like to hide within flowers and ambush bees and other insects. This species was given its name because it is often found hiding within golden rod.  While it doesn’t seem like it would be beneficial for a white spider to hide in a yellow flower, these spiders can actually change from white to yellow at will. This awesome ability doesn’t really help them much in these purple milkweed flowers, but they still seemed to be successful.

Not positive, but I am pretty sure this is the yellow version.
